Be the architect of your future or the prisoner of the past.

The life you have lived so far is gone. It’s dead. It’s irretrievable. But the next hour that’s going to come to you is fresh, living, flexible. No matter what you have done with your life so far, no matter whether you have made it a hell or a heaven, the next hour is the same unsullied one that comes to you begging you to convert it into something.
What do you convert the next hour to? What is your motivation? What is your ability? What is your inclination? What is your habit? How heavy is the burden on the past on you?
Is the past forcing itself on you, your thoughts, your imagination so strongly that you are simply processing your future into your past? Or are you thinking ahead? Are you preparing to convert your future into something better than your past, no matter what it was?
Your answer on what you will convert the next hour to is a good indication. The fact that you are reading this is a good indication that you want to make things better. That desire would be crucial in getting you what you desire. Next is whether you have the ability. You may not be having it to begin with, but you can convert the next hour into your ability of getting it. The next hour can be converted to joy, love, knowledge, health, skill. It can also be converted to ill health, ignorance, strife, resignation.
The hour is the same. The choice is yours. Be the architect of your future. Or the prisoner of the past.
